Hello Everyone,

Thank you to those members that have put their hands up to help out at tomorrow's ODE.

I have attached a list of jobs and helpers. Please check the list and let me know if I have a name in a wrong place.

We are still short a couple of roles, someone to assist with scoring, and someone to look after half the cross country course (crash crew).

If you can help out in these areas please give me a call on 0428 293619.

We also need some helpers to set up the dressage arenas today. If you can lend a hand please be at the grounds at 4.00 this afternoon.

Need for HPRC members to undertake certain roles at the State Dressage and ShowJump Championships at TEC (Lauderdale)on Mar 24th/25th 2012

Hi Everyone,

This year's State Dressage and Show Jumping Championships are being held at the Hobart and District Pony Club grounds at TEC (Lauderdale) on Mar 24th and 25th.

This is a major event and takes a lot of organisation. The Southern Zone Committee has already met several times and has preparations well underway, however there are still quite a few jobs that need to be filled for the actual days of the Event.

It is the responsibility of each Pony Club in the Southern Zone to provide their share of volunteers to undertake various roles at the event itself. Can you please review the jobs below that need to be filled by HPRC members and let me know how you can assist.

ARENA SET UP (FRIDAY 23rd Mar)

DRESSAGE DAY (Sat 24th Mar)
* Canteen helpers (2 people from each club to help for 2-3 hrs)
* Parking Coordinators (2 people from each club for 2-3 hrs first thing in morning)
* Pencillers (2 people from each Club for 2-3 hrs)
* Marshallers (2 people from each Club for 2-3 hrs)
* Gear Check (1 person from each Club for 2-3 hrs)
* Runners (1 person each Club for 2-3 hrs)

SHOW JUMP DAY (Sun 25th Mar)

* Canteen helpers (2 people from each Cub to help for 2-3 hrs)
* Parking Coordinators (2 people from each Club for 2-3 hrs first thing in morning)
* Pencillers (2 people from each Club for 2-3 hrs)
* Marshallers (2 people from each Club for 2-3 hrs)
* Gear Check (1 person from each Club for 2-3 hrs)
* Time Keepers (2 people from each Club for 2-3 hrs)
* Pole Picker Uppers (2 people from each Club for 2-3 hrs)
* Course builder assistants (2 people from each Club)

It would be appreciated if you can get back to me ASAP so that organisers can reconcile their requirements. It's still 2 months away but there is a lot of preparation required and it will no doubt come around quickly.

Hi Everyone,

Please find attached entry form and briefing sheet for our ODE on the 29th January 2012.

Entries close on Monday 23rd January 2012 and should be emailed to me on msmi5860@bigpond.net.au. The draw will be emailed out later that week and posted on the club's website.

Except for the start time of dressage which is 8 am, we may need to revise cross country and show jumping starting times and order dependent upon numbers in each grade.

Happy New Year everyone.

Most of our members are no doubt aware our club is holding an ODE on Sunday 29/01/2012. The event is one of the last three ODE's in the south to qualify for this year's State Trials which will be held in the North at Gravelly Beach over the three days of the long weekend in March.

January is a very busy time for many of our members who have been organising the summer camp and Sonja Johnson Clinic, however I do hope you can also give support to the ODE.

I am hoping the members that assisted in the running of the December ODE will once again be happy to help out in the same roles, eg marshalling, gear checking, etc. I have attached the list of jobs as per the December ODE (Phil D I have put you in as CC finisher), if anyone is not available or cannot help out on the day please let me know so I can find a replacement.

I am very keen to see some our newer parents to the club become involved in helping out on the day. For the club to hold events such as ODE's we continually need people stepping forward to learn the roles that allow us to replace members that inevitably leave the club, many after years of helping out at events. Please contact me via return email or on 0428 293619 if you would like to be a part of the day.

We still require some gear checkers and marshallers for cross country and show jumping, plus any jobs that people on the list may not be able to fill due to being away, etc.

So please contact me if you can help out.

Hi Everyone

Please read the attached information regarding the HPRC Summer Camp.

Please Note: All camp participants need to read and print the indemnity prior to the camp and hand in to Adam Grover upon arrival.

Please be at the grounds by 9AM on Tuesday morning ready for your first lesson at 10AM.

We would really like to encourage parents to participate in the camp where you can. Any parents intending to stay a night or two can you please e-mail Joanna at abgrover@bigpond.net.au so that we can arrange catering.
